Sustainable Futures Group (SFG) is delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare provider in South East London who are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their dedicated team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HSE strategy and culture within a renowned organisation known for its pioneering approach to patient care.

With a significant focus on enhancing safety standards and environmental impact monitoring, this role is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and patients.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading and coordinating Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all healthcare and charity shop locations
  • Managing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, promoting a proactive safety culture
  • Offering guidance and advice on Health & Safety matters
  • Enhancing the environmental monitoring process, reporting on impacts, and implementing strategies to reduce environmental risks
  • Taking ownership of the Health & Safety Committee and Green Group content, working collaboratively to promote a culture of safety and sustainability

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
  • IOSH membership (Ideally Cert IOSH or Tech IOSH as a minimum)
  • Proven experience in managing Health & Safety within a Healthcare, Charity, Social Housing or similar environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach to Health and Safety management, balancing patient-centred care with compliance
  • Familiarity with environmental monitoring and reporting (desirable but not essential)
