About the role
This newly created role sits within the Strategy & Planning Directorate, placing sustainability at the centre of organisational decision-making.
- Lead on group-wide carbon data, forecasting and scenario modelling, providing insights that shape the Net Zero pathway.
- Deliver SECR and Scope 3 reporting, aligning with investor expectations and emerging government standards.
- Assess climate risks such as flooding, overheating, supply chain resilience and resident impact, and turn findings into practical actions.
- Work closely with internal teams and external specialists to ensure robust analysis and high-quality reporting.
- Use advanced tools (Excel, Power BI, SmartWaste) to improve modelling, tracking and reporting.
What we’re looking for
- We’re seeking a technically strong analyst who can bring numbers to life and influence decisions at a strategic level.
- Degree in Sustainability, Risk, Business, Statistics or related analytical field.
- Previous experience in analytical roles (sustainability, housing, consultancy, construction, finance or similar ideally).
- Strong carbon accounting knowledge and emissions modelling expertise ideally.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and/or SmartWaste desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing multiple projects.
